When you think about the journey of becoming an entrepreneur, so many questions come to mind. Like, how do I begin? Where do I start? What do I need? The list can be somewhat eternal, but for Molly, creating a brand of lingerie that whispers sex appeal, provide a high level of comfort, still be stylist, and uniquely designed for the everyday woman, she what she was looking to create.

 

I wanted to create something that will appeal to my demographic. I love the relaxed undergarments that PINK offer as well as the more sexy appealing garments that Victoria Secret offers for the more mature woman… I thought to myself, ‘if only I could create a line that will appeal to the millennial woman who’s in between.’

 

Sultry Limb is a new lingerie line geared towards millennial women. We encourage women to accentuate lingerie and include it in their everyday wardrobe, whether it’s to work or a night on the town, our collections are sensual, sexy, and sporty.

Being the sole creative designer of the Sultry Limb brand, Molly takes pride in being very hands-on when it comes to every aspect of the lingerie from design to marketing – Molly is all in. When I first visited the online store, I instantly smiled at the various shapes and sizes of women represented wearing the beautiful garments. I wondered about her thought process in represented the women…

 

In today’s market, it is very rare that you find a line that carries both plus size as well as petite garments. Sultry Limb offers both. When you visit our site, you will find that we never single anyone out. Our petite and plus size garments are merged.

 

The biggest misconception when mainstream sees a curvaceous woman is, ‘that’s not HIGH FASHION,’ which is absolutely wrong and unsophisticated.

 

Interesting. I never put much thought into that little detail until now. For a good majority of my working career, I’ve spent years in retail. Years of not questioning even one time why petite, plus and everything in between were all separated. I mean, that’s just how retail was designed right? Well, I love the inclusiveness and thoughtfulness Molly exudes in each detail, no matter how small we may think it is… those details measure up to a great deal when consumers are looking to spend their dollars.

I obviously like the approach that Fashionova has taken with new media and letting real people, influencers, display their brand. I would love to see it [Sultry Limb] in Saks Fifth Avenue in the near future, but I also love the idea of an online store since everything is now digital.

 

The fashion industry is huge and booming with women entrepreneurs. Something clearly has to stand out for consumers to notice a particular brand and as she stated, brands using millennial influencers that are highly recognizable can definitely boost marketing and sales. Even still, there is a constant battle to create, recreate and reestablish what is fashionable and what is not.

 

It’s really tough as a female entrepreneur, but lingerie offers such an unique experience in itself that it makes everything worth the hassle. When women purchase lingerie, it is usually to bring out their feminine and when men purchase for their women they are so caught up in visualizing the liveness of the show when the woman wears it that he’s just blissful throughout the entire process. LOL!

I still have a long way to go. I don’t think I will ever be content. I always feel like there’s someone out there who doesn’t know about my brand and I always think to myself… ‘How can I reach her?’

 

Now that’s an entrepreneur with spirit. The biggest problem businesses owners run into is getting too comfortable with where they are. Many do not do much to improve because hey, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Absolutely the worst mentality to have when competing with other brands, however, Molly says she has yet to see another brand like hers.

 

Nevertheless, Molly wholehearted believes that this passion of hers is her purpose to reach women globally.

 

I want women to realize that we set the rules. It is up to us to remain powerful and not powerless.
